I'm so excited to share this with you all today! I've been meaning to put it on the blog for weeks but my Christmas shopping threw off my schedule...you know how it goes. But this shoot all started for us when one of Melinda's talented former students approached her to be a part of this team. Lara graduated from Cal Poly and started Sealed With a Kiss Events! She brought in Sweet Poppy Studios to photograph all of the beauty! Lara wanted to create a tablescape with tons of great texture and unique color combinations...something a little bold and unusual. She had us at texture! So we invaded SLO Creek Farm and set up shop in their orchard. Thanks to Lara's parents, she's also totally gorgeous... so she and her love were the fantastic models for our shoot! We hope you enjoy....

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
Well, the holiday season is officially upon us- and it's starting to look a lot like Christmas around the Festive Designs studio! I took a couple quick pics to show you....
Wreaths in process....
Supplies galore!
A little bit of snow...
Yummy christmas greens of all shapes and sizes!
And some cute little vases ready to be delivered...
Poor Hannah was covered in glitter after wiring each of these ornaments...she was covered in holiday spirit! : )

Snaps for Festive Designs
Hi all! We are so pleased to be able to share another love note from one of our brides today! I also had to scan the adorable custom thank you card....love it!
Carolyn wrote:
"Dear Melinda, We just wanted to thank you for doing such a beautiful job with the flowers for our wedding this July. They were everything I had imagined; the colors were perfect! Thank you for the vase as well. We have been using it, and it always reminds me of the wedding. We cannot wait to see the flowers at our friends' Caitlin & Andrew wedding in June. Thank you again, Carolyn & Mike"

Faces of Festive Designs: Hannah
Hi all!
It is my pleasure to formally introduce you to one of our new Faces at Festive Designs- Miss Hannah! If you've been at any of our weddings this summer, you've no doubt seen Hannah hard at work at Melinda's side! She is smart, talented, and has a great sense of humor. Get to know our little beauty...
"I have always loved flowers and design and after taking Melinda’s Floral Design class at Cal Poly I was hooked. Floral Design allows me to create a living art form that is always different. After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with my B.S. in Food Science I have decided to stay here on the Central Coast to continue working in the Floral Design field."
Hometown: Lake Arrowhead, Ca
Birthday: October 1, 1990
Role Models: My Grandma Barbara, she is the definition of class.
Favorite Flowers: Dahlias and Tulips
Favorite Quote: “Life’s tough; It’s tougher when you’re stupid” John Wayne
Favorite Looks: I tend to gravitate towards full arrangements with a wild garden feeling to them. Arrangements with a wide variety of flowers and textures are my favorite to design because there is so much to look at and every angle presents a different ‘look

Love their little birdie glass favors! So cute!
Our bride and groom are in the film industry, so they wanted to incorporate that into their big day by making each table themed as different movies!
The Groom's cake- look familiar from Up?
I just loved this lemon display for the food! Looks so cool!
The little cocktail table arrangements enjoyed a lovely view....
I love our white fabric ceremony structure....it's just so romantic!
The large floral sprays
Tried to capture the crystals as they spun in the wind....
It was a beautiful day in Edna Valley...
Aisle vases on shepherd hooks.....
Bridesmaids bouquet
Bride's bouquet
The final product....
