Snaps for Festive Designs
"Dear Melinda,
Brad and I want to offer you and your staff our sincerest thanks for providing us such incredible wedding flowers! I can't tell you, as a bride arriving late and stressed out, how great it felt to see you got my vision exactly right! When I turned the corner to see the bouquets, it literally took my breath away. I know I'm biased, but I've never seen bouquets so gorgeous! If I could, I would carry my bouquet around every day. I loved it so much! From the bouquets and boutonnieres, to the centerpieces, to the aisle, to the cake and hair flowers- the compliments we are still receiving are endless! Thank you again, we are forever grateful!
All our best, Erin & Brad"

Faces of Festive Designs
Hey all! We'd like to introduce you to two of our newest team members Kelly & Aubrey!
"I started loving flowers at an early age. My family always had beautiful gardens, especially my grandma. I began floral arrangements in high school where I took my first ornamental horticulture class. I have always loved arranging flowers and plants in different ways. I received a BA degree in Psychology in 2007 from Cal State University, Fullerton and have since used that degree in my career and in my life. "
Hometown: San Luis Obispo, CA
Birthday: January 21, 1985
Role Models: Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn; women who weren’t afraid to dream big and make their own rules.
Favorite Flowers: Lilies, Orchids and Plumerias
Favorite Quote: “I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.” – Audrey Hepburn
Favorite Looks: Anything with bold yet subtle color, think black and white with small pops of yellow or lime green. Just enough to accent something regular and make it something wonderful.
Kelly is such a hard worker and a joy to teach! If she is working your wedding, you can rest assured that she will do everything in her power to make your day perfect!
"Aubrey's first venture into floral design came as a Cal Poly student in Melinda's class! After taking the first class, she knew she couldn't get enough and enrolled for the advanced class-- which led to the discovery that flowers are one of her many passions! She is currently a member of the Cal Poly Floral Design Team and the SAIFD chapter. Aubrey will graduate in June with a degree in Agricultural Business and looks forward to spending the next year on the Central Coast (and working for Festive Designs!)"
Hometown: Lake Isabella, CA
Birthday: August 23, 1989
Role Models: My two biggest role models are my mom and my grandmother.
Favorite flowers: Peonies, Ranuculus, anything with layers upon layers of petals
Favorite Quote: And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." Marianne Williamson
Favorite Looks: I love full arrangements and subtle details. I love seeing pieces in which the closer you look the more beautiful and intricate you find it.
Aubrey is very professional and takes her work seriously. You can tell she has a passion for floral design! We are proud to call her our own!
Welcome Kelly & Aubrey!
