Sneak Peek of Savor the Central Coast

For those of you who won't be able to make it to Savor the Central Coast this weekend at Santa Margarita Ranch- I wanted to give a little peek of the panels that Melinda made for the Cal Poly Agriculture booth. There is a panel for every Cal Poly product...wine, cheese, honey, ice cream, veggies, chocolate, etc. Very neat!

All of the panels are being stored in one of the science labs at Cal Poly- I bet the technicians are eager to have their counters back! But we appreciate them giving up their space for a few days! There are about 10 of these suckers....they take up a lot of room!
A section from one of my favorite panels...
 The wine panel:

We all scream for Ice Cream!! Woohoo
Aren't they pretty fun? I hope they're a hit this weekend!

Snaps for Festive Designs!

Jaleen & Russell were such a treat to work with! Below are some photos of their special day (the full album is on our facebook page) as well as Jaleen's touching letter to the Festive Designs crew!

After taking Melinda’s floral design class at Cal Poly, I knew without a doubt that I wanted Festive Designs to be the florist for my August wedding. Her passion for her work is not only apparent through her energy in the classroom, but also through the designs she creates.
When we first met with Melinda to discuss our wedding we had a main idea in mind, but she transformed our vision to fit perfectly with our personalities and the outdoor surroundings. I could have never imagined the beautiful designs that Melinda and Nicolette would create. They also worked within our budget, and made our money stretch as much as possible.
For the ceremony, Festive Designs created a stunning gazebo draped with flowing linens, and a fabulous crystal chandelier that hung from the center. Melinda even invited my groom and I over to her house a few days before the wedding to make sure that the flowers and gazebo were perfect.
We received so many compliments on the bridal party flowers. Guests loved that the groomsmen’s boutonnières included a peacock feather and were wrapped in teal wire. The lovely women at Festive Designs made sure that my bouquet included lush pink peonies, even though they were not in season. Right before the ceremony, Nicolette tied my Grandmother’s wedding rings to the ribbon that held my bouquet together. It was this personalization that made the day extra special. The bridesmaids’ bouquets of hydrangea were full and the color looked so vivid against their indigo dresses.
The flowers decorating the ceremony and reception really complimented the sand dunes and rolling hills of the central coast. Festive Designs was able to take my romantic floral vision and make it pop by using unexpected elements and artistic texture. From our very first meeting to the day of my wedding, Melinda and Nicolette’s attention to detail and unique creativity made Festive Designs especially fun to work with.
Sincerely,
Jaleen Davidson

A chain link fence never looked so good! haha

Love the colorful lanterns sprinkled across the tent canopy! They add such wonderful bursts of color to this VERY bright and cheery wedding!

Gotta love a cute candy table!!! We wish you the best Jamie & Dan! Congratulations!

True paradise right here on the Central Coast! It's not surprising that this is where Alicia and Himanshu chose to share their special day with their friends and family! Enjoy...
